One World Trade Centre Observatory

We decided we needed another bird's eye view of NYC so headed to the One World Trade Centre observatory. We had booked these tickets online so were able to jump the queue. We also arrived quite early so there was less jostling for position to see the view. The ride up in the elevator is... Continue Reading →

Beppu

The hells of Beppu are great to visit if you are travelling to Kyushu. We caught a train from Fukuoka (Hakata) station to Beppu and then a bus to the Hells.

Japanese KitKat flavours

Our four trips to Japan have given us many opportunities to try various KitKat flavours. I love a matcha KitKat but was pleasantly surprised by the roasted tea flavour. P likes anything citrus. Some of the flavours are regional or limited edition and apparently there are 300 in total!

The Na Pali coast

We were lucky enough to see the fabulous Na Pali coast both by air and sea. The helicopter tour took us from Lihue over Waimea canyon to the coast and the boat tour took us along the coast from Port Allen. Waimea canyon Manawaiopuna Falls (Jurassic Park Falls)
